Promoting the socio-professional integration of marginalized women and women involved in prostitution

The project

SOS Femmes, a Geneva-based organization, is working to improve the socio-professional integration of marginalized women, as well as women who are involved in prostitution. The organization carries out various initiatives, including individual counseling services to support women in their return to the workplace, professional training in sewing and design techniques, employment opportunities via CREATURE, a social enterprise, as well as networking occasions, to increase the long-term impact of their actions.

Fondation CHANEL is supporting SOS Femmes to expand the scope of its career-counseling program, enabling the organization to reach more women, as well as to develop a solid business model for its CREATURE sewing workshop, including by diversifying its training and creative initiatives.

The partner

Created in 1940 as a public-interest organization, SOS Femmes works to combat discrimination and the stigmatization of women in society and the workplace – in particular, migrant and marginalized women, as well as women involved in prostitution – through awareness-raising initiatives and by supporting their social and professional integration.
