The project aims to improve the quality of life of women living with HIV/AIDS and to restore their self-confidence. It will help these women break out of the isolation and vulnerability brought on by the disease through a variety of activities, including individual counseling from social workers, support groups to end their isolation, therapy and secondary prevention education to help them better manage their illness, exercise classes, nutrition, computer skills, literacy and more.
Fondation CHANEL is supporting the “Welcome, Listen, and Support” project, which has been the cornerstone of Ikambere’s approach since 1997. This support will enable Ikambere to expand its assistance services and accommodate more beneficiaries.
IKAMBERE is a non-profit organization, created in 1997, to deliver concrete solutions to the specific problems faced by women living with HIV/AIDS.
