Access to education and professional training through cultural and agricultural activities

The project

This project aims to restore hope to young people aged 14 to 21 years old (70% of them girls and young women) living in poverty. The cultural center Djaram’Arts provides a safe space where youth access education and support as part of a 3-year training program. The program uses arts and agriculture to help young girls and boys become aware of their potential, improve their self-confidence, and promote their empowerment by gaining new skills. At the end of the 3 years, they will have acquired the required skills to carry out a professional project.

The Fondation’s support will enable the implementation and evaluation of the project with a view to potentially reproducing it in other regions in the future.
